Bringing Safe Water to Displaced Families
Water is a fundamental human right, yet tens of thousands of displaced individuals in Gaza face daily struggles to access clean, safe drinking water. The escalation of violence in the current war severely damaged the Bureij Desalination Plant, further exacerbating the water crisis in area. The plant, which once provided clean water to tens thousands of people, was crippled by a bombing.
Recognizing the urgency of this situation, The Infinite Foundation, in collaboration with the Municipality of Bureij, took on the critical task of restoring the Desalination Plant. After adopting the plant, we relocated, repaired, and fully renovated the facility, enabling it to resume operations. This marked a significant step in our mission to provide reliable access to clean drinking water for displaced families. The plant currently serves over 100,000 displaced individuals on a daily basis.

Expanding access to clean drinking water remains one of our top priorities as we continue supporting the existing desalination plant in Bureij. Ensuring the plant remains fully operational and sustainable is crucial to maintaining the well-being of the over 100,000 displaced individuals it currently serves.
However, the growing demand for safe drinking water in Gaza requires us to take further action. To meet this increasing need, we are planning to adopt another desalination plant in a different region of Gaza.
