Emergency Medical Response:
A Lifeline Amid Famine and Devastation
The situation in Gaza is beyond words. We are witnessing a true famine — not metaphorical, but literal. Children are starving. Entire families are surviving without food. Medical systems have collapsed under the weight of relentless bombardment and blockade. And yet, amid this devastation, we persist.
In early May, TIF made the urgent decision to establish a medical point to provide lifesaving care in one of the most severely affected areas of Gaza. It was to be a small but vital space of healing — a symbol of resistance through compassion.
But on the evening of May 6, just before the opening, the facility was bombed. Equipment destroyed. Hope momentarily crushed. Yet our resolve remained unshaken.
Today — just two weeks later — we are proud to share that we are rebuilding and almost ready to reopen this critical medical point.
What We're Doing Now
We are providing urgent primary care, with a special focus on vulnerable children and patients with chronic illnesses and untreated injuries. The need is overwhelming — hundreds arrive each day.
-
Medications & Supplies
Essential medications are expected to arrive within the next two to three days. This includes antibiotics, chronic disease treatments, and emergency care items. Under the leadership of Dr. Riham, we will begin full operations as soon as supplies are received. -
Medical Day – A Multispecialty Outreach
Dedicated medical days with a focus on dermatology, one of the most pressing health concerns in Gaza due to poor hygiene and
water scarcity. With your support, we can fund this outreach ($2,000 per day) -
Blood Donation Campaign
We coordinate large scale blood drive in partnership with the Gaza Blood Bank and the Ministry of Health. The aim is to help hospitals facing severe shortages. This campaign also requires $2,000 per day
